The plot line is entwined with sex, drugs, drinking, love, and money, so I am surprised when not many of my friends are familiar with the name. Rossum and Macy conduct phenomenal performances throughout the seasons' performances that I am shocked haven't won more awards.
Rossum portrays Fiona as the oldest sister of 5 other siblings, raising them ever since her mother abandoned them and her alcoholic father, portrayed by Macy, became too ill-equipped to even take care of himself. Each character adds a unique atmosphere to the show, all the while making you laugh along with them, and worry for their lives at the same time. This show is a must watch.

I had heard of this show before but never really knew what the plot line was until your post. It sounds really interesting though. I have show time on my TV so I'm going to try this out now!
